This Mustang had a few bits of work done. The floors were sorted out, rust-proofed, soundproofed and carpet refitted. The dash was tidied up, new radio, speaker and associated wiring. Front windscreen replaced, and given a general tidy up.
In the engine bay, a new camshaft, valve springs, distributor, water pump, intake and carb were fitted and tuned up,
The front springs were replaced and suspensions also adjusted up.
We have also rewired the lighting circuit to include relays for the headlights to improve general safety and avoid the high current going through the 55 year old wiring and switches.
This particular car will be going into the spray booth soon to go a shade darker blue (to Ford Cobalt Blue). Check back here soon to see the results!
This tractor has undergone a full nut and bolt restoration, including full engine rebuild, hydraulic tune up, and injector and pump reconditioning. The injection pump had a cracked housing, but we luckily had a spare 'bad' one on the shelf that one good one could be made from.
Some parts, such as the tappets are no longer available new, so as a couple were cracked, we reverse engineered the existing ones, and made up some new ones, hardened appropriately and lapped smooth on the running face.
A new spool for the loader valve was also designed and made to cure those leaks.
